WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS

Growing up playing sports, 
you not only wanted to master the game, 
but you wanted to be the best. 
While these twin goals can be noble motivators, 
they can also lead to huge disappointments and frustrations. 
Rather than applauding the talents and abilities you have, 
you have this urge to surrender. 
Nevertheless, if you are lucky, you never lose the desire, 
no matter how misguided, to be great. 
And it's not ego driven. 
It's an aesthetic appreciation for achievement.
